 General Informations
Operations in oral and maxillofacial surgery very often require, at least temporarily, a safe intermaximaxillary fixation to get a good and reliable occlusion.
Neither surgical hooks sticked to the brackets nor wires-/plastic arch bars are useful in the cases. Both techniques are time-and money-consuming. Additionally it must be pointed out that, due to the sharp end of the wires, there is a high risk of injury for the surgeon.
